Dr E.P. Ricardo Hijuelos
Dr Ricardo Hijuelos is a General Practitioner with extensive experience in General Surgery and clinical care. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Havana in 1976 and has been a General Surgery specialist since 1981. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive clinical and teaching experience.
He has worked as an Assistant Professor of General Surgery, has been a full member of the Cuban Society of Surgery and practised as a General Surgeon for 35 years.
He previously worked as a General Practitioner in Roquetas de Mar and now sees patients at Centro Médico Calvo in Aguadulce, providing approachable, high-quality care focused on prevention and ongoing health monitoring. He sees common General Practice concerns, reviews blood test and diagnostic results, monitors blood pressure and cardiovascular risk factors and assesses respiratory symptoms, digestive discomfort, headaches, dizziness, fatigue and other common health concerns.
At every appointment, he carries out an individual assessment, advises on the most appropriate next steps and, where necessary, requests further tests or refers patients to the relevant specialist.
